Phillip G.
Private tutor in Morgantown, WV
Education
Bachelor's in political science from West Virginia University. Minor in history.
Experience
1850 SAT score, 4 in AP Literature, 4 in AP Human Geography, 3 in AP Civics and Government (which my teacher outright said was too low for how well I'd done in the class, but the grading must have been extremely stringent that year). I want to be a tutor because I love helping people. I plan on having a career in social services and human rights, and I believe tutoring/teaching is a good first step in this direction. I'm a PoliSci major, so I've taken multiple such classes since coming to college, the highest level class I've completed in the subject is 368. I've taken a history class every semester of college and have taken two 400-level history classes (both focusing on Europe), but have also completed a 200-level class on African history. In high school I completed classes in AP Civics and Government, AP Human Geography, AP English Literature, AP Calculus, AP Microeconomics, and AP Macroeconomics. Current recipient of the WV PROMISE Scholarship for my work in high school, and the continuation of said work in college.
