My journey as a writer and teacher started in 2009, when I began tutoring peers in essay-writing as a college student at Eastern Kentucky University. After earning my bachelor's degree in English, I spent a year solely tutoring a variety of ages in composition, reading comprehension, and writing. In 2014, I started my Masters in Fine Arts program at West Virginia University, where I taught ENG 101, ENG 102, and ENG 212.
